Farewell from Ms. Leah

Dear Parents and Students,

It is with great sadness that I announce my resignation at Cary Ballet. With great reflection, and doors that have just magically opened, my husband and I have decided to accept employment in Lexington, Kentucky where we will be close to family. Though this has been a very difficult decision we both feel that it is time to go home, where we can enjoy our families on an everyday basis rather than just holidays.

Parents, I would like to thank you for sharing your children with me and trusting me to
guide them in their love of dance. Your support, respect, and infinite enthusiasm always made teaching your children a great adventure. I like you, still marvel at how the art of ballet not only teaches our children about dance, but also so many valuable lessons of life. As a teacher for the past twenty years I can tell you that the wonderful children and teenagers “don’t just happen.” They are guided by exceptional parents with great love and care that not only teach but model the most important values needed in life. I thank each of you and will hold you all dear in my heart.

To my sweet students, I wish you the very best as I leave you with the best ballet teachers
one could ever hope for. You have brought me infinite joy both personally and professionally.  I have loved being your teacher and watching you become incredible dancers, young ladies and gentlemen. Please know how much I admire each of you for your incredible work ethic, intelligence, talent and creative spirit. I have loved sharing my passion and knowledge of dance with each and every one of you, even the days you “made my hair big.” You inspire, challenge, and fill my heart each day that I teach you. Though I had a very busy imagination as a child, I never imagined the joy I would feel in being your teacher.

Please know that if you are ever in Kentucky my doors are always open. I will be teaching
with the Bluegrass Youth Ballet this fall and look forward to developing a relationship between Cary Ballet and Bluegrass Youth. I wish you all the best and will always carry you in my heart.

Love,

Ms. Leah
