Dear Dancers,
Thank you for your interest in Cary Ballet
Conservatory's summer intensive training program.
We offer a flexible enrollment policy, for 8 weeks
(June 21st - August 13th) which allows students to attend for as little
or as much time as they are able. Dancers will notice a marked
improvement as our faculty and guest Master teachers carefully
structure each weeks curriculum for maximum benefit. Daily ballet
technique and pointe classes are followed by variations, jazz,
character, Pilates, etc. In addition to our all-day workshops, many
summer students also attend evening and Saturday classes.
Week 5 (Mon-Sat July 19 - 24th) will offer a more
concentrated focus on jazz and contemporary dance. In addition to their
daily ballet technique classes, CBC's outstanding Jazz faculty, along
with nationally renowned guest teachers and our affiliate 3D Project
jazz company will introduce several styles of original choreographic
works on our dancers. Even those students who are only pursuing a
ballet career will be challenged to increase their ability to be
versatile, adapting to the diversified repertoire of most ballet
companies. This particular week will be extended to include a special
performance/demonstration on Saturday at 1pm.
Our CBC faculty greatly enjoys the special
opportunity to share their expertise with new talented, serious-minded
dancers from other areas.
Cary Ballet's year-round students are warm, friendly, and also excited
to welcome new visiting dancers. Many lasting friendships have been
formed and many dancers return year after year. This enthusiasm, along
with our wonderful professional faculty and guest teachers
provides for optimal training and improvement.
Cary is a beautiful and safe family city offering
many fun and cultural activities. In addition to your host family
experience, CBC's hospitality coordinators plan special social events
and outings.
We have received overwhelming interest for this
year's summer program from previous attendees and new students. Space
is limited. Please contact us to arrange your application of attending
an audition or submitting a videotape/DVD for acceptance.
We hope to see you
this summer!
